You may remember Melissa and Braedon from their adorable surprise proposal in the woods or their gorgeous burgundy winter wedding, or you may just recognize them as some of our best friends on the planet!
Melissa and Amy have been friends since their middle school days, when they couldn’t live without glitter eyeshadow and artfully exchanging folded notes between classes. She’s been a lifelong friend ever since and it’s been such an honor to get to be there from the start of her relationship with Braedon, and document every milestone along the way.
After their January wedding, Melissa and Braedon planned a fall honeymoon to explore Europe and visit Braedon’s family in Prague. When we realized we’d be able to make it work to coordinate our trips, we knew we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to get to spend a few days together in a city we’ve all always wanted to visit. We rearranged our travel plans, met them in Prague, packed our matching tourist tennis shoes, ate our weight in ice cream filled churro cones, and woke up before the sunrise to capture their magical honeymoon photos.
These two are always up for anything, and getting to experience the the streets of Prague together before the sun even woke up is a memory we won’t soon forget. It was so special to get to do a “honeymoon session” for these two, which we’ve officially decided is a thing! We were expecting that if we got up before the sun we’d have The Charles Bridge to ourselves, but it turns out, sunrise on The Charles Bridge is a pretty popular tourist attraction! There were LOTS of people all around us at all times during this session, but we used all of our tricks shooting in crowded places to make it appear like we had the city to ourselves! And they turned out to be some of our favorite photos of all time!
Melissa and Braedon, we can’t explain how thankful we are for the two of you and your friendship. We hope you cherish these photos in every moment of stillness and never forget the joy you felt on the Charles Bridge that morning.
