We’re so excited to be featured on Fab You Bliss this week for Emily and Ian’s breakfast in bed proposal. You can check out the full feature here. We’ve included details about this proposal and a few of our favorite images down below. Enjoy!
This styled proposal was inspired by the beauty of everyday life. It’s important for guys to know that popping the question doesn’t have to be a grandiose gesture to be memorable. The love of your life doesn’t necessarily need a singing mob of people or a trip to Paris for her to know she’s special. For some, the perfect proposal is turning a simple moment into a forever milestone. Emily and Ian are a real couple in love. They got engaged last winter and are getting married this fall. Since Ian proposed to Emily at home, we thought this breakfast in bed shoot would be the perfect way for Emily to relive the magic all over again. So, with the help and styling of the always amazing Bash by Brenly, and paper products by Sugar and Type, Ian proposed to Emily in a recommitment, and we were there to capture it.
Ian crept softly into the bedroom and sweetly woke Emily to the sound of his voice and the smell of a prepared breakfast full of frosted treats. He also surprised her with some sparkle in the place she least expected it. He asked her to “wake up and smell the coffee,” and she was shocked to look down and find her engagement ring at the bottom of the mug. When she looked up, Ian was down on one knee looking up at her. Emily’s eyes filled with tears. Ian’s welled up. Ours did, too. Once the tears dried, Emily and Ian knew it was time to celebrate. The theme for the proposal was “Serving Up Some Sparkle,” and an armoire dazzled with “frosted” cereal, “iced” cinnamon rolls, and “glazed” donut holes was just the tip of the iceberg. The headboard was decorated with handmade garland in hues of yellow, mint, silver, and gold, and the morning sun brightened them all. The happy couple sipped Mimosas, held each other, and toasted to their future together. It was the perfect ending to the perfect proposal.
