We love stories. Every couple has one. One of our favorite parts about being wedding photographers is meeting with newly engaged couples for the first time and hearing theirs. The newness of it. The freshness of it. The excitement of it. We can’t get enough of it! But, at the end, our couples always ask, “What about you?” So, we decided to share our story, too. From the high school bleachers to the end of the aisle, here’s our story from “I noticed you” to “I do.”

Fall and winter came and went, and by springtime (and senior prom), Amy and Jordan were still together and more in love than ever. Like every cool, independent, high school man, Jordan drove with his parents to Amy’s house to meet her family and participate in an American high school rite of passage: pre-prom pictures in every place imaginable. By the front door. On the staircase. In the backyard. And, yes, in front of the pool. The only thing less awkward was the portrait a few hours later at the dance in front of a backdrop that read “A Moonlit Masquerade” and was flanked by white, Greek columns garnished with fake plants. When the torture had ended…
When they finally arrived at the dance, they got lost in each other. It was the culmination of months of moments, a mountain of memories, and the feeling that it was all coming to an end. So they decided to savor it. To cherish it. To dance the night away. Luckily, they didn’t forget to stop by the photo booth and get a keepsake of one of the best nights of their lives.
