As Pastor Randy Williams unfolded a handwritten love letter at the altar and read aloud the heartfelt words written by the bride, and then the groom, I had to use every ounce of self-restraint to keep myself from ruining the shots with my own tears. I hadn’t realized what a sap I really am until I became putty during Stacy and Mark’s ceremony. The love these two have for each other is truly indescribable. I have never seen a couple more in love, more emotional, more elated or more sure on their wedding day.
From the moment I entered the dressing room, Stacy was so sweet and so serene. If it weren’t for her gown and veil, you would never know she was just hours away from walking down the aisle. She was so happy and calm, and she lit up the room with her smile. Mark is her best friend and biggest fan. Getting the chance to spend time with the two of them together was so much fun.
I had a blast getting to incorporate their bicycle built for two into my shots and finding all the beautiful sights that Sassi has to offer. Stacy and Mark got married on a perfect winter morning in Scottsdale, and I have to say, I’m now officially a fan of morning weddings. The weather was beautiful, the light was fantastic, and we had so much time for portraits. I had the privilege of shooting this wedding with the always fabulous Sam McConkey, and the whole way home, we couldn’t stop talking about every beautiful moment we got to be a part of. Stacy and Mark, thank you so much for giving us the honor of capturing your incredible wedding day. It was a gift.
