There they stood. In a beautiful chapel. Hand in hand. White dress. Classic tux. Eyes locked — and misty with tears. The good kind.
With family and friends looking on, Anna and Cam were together. Forever. Finally.
No more flying back and forth. No more painful can’t-let-go hugs. No more watching their favorite person disappear into a crowded airport terminal. No more airport goodbyes. After so many of those, that season was behind them. They made it! They were at the starting line of their new life together.
But, as Anna and Cam said all day, it didn’t start with them. It started with the parents and grandparents who came before them. It started with their legacy of faith and love. That was the source of the effortless and unending supply of joy, peace, kindness, goodness, and gentleness that flooded out of both families and touched everyone around them.
At the altar, with Anna and Cam, that torch was passed again. And it’s as bright and safe as it’s ever been.
Anna and Cam, where do we even begin? From the moment we met you, we could see Jesus in you; and after meeting your parents, it’s so clear where it comes from. At the wedding, we told them that if our Beckett turned out like their Cam, or if our Emily and Ellie turn out like their Anna, we’ll feel like we did parenting right. We may be taking them to lunch in the future to steal all their secrets and find out exactly how they did it!
Because people like you, especially at twenty-four, don’t happen by accident. You’re intentional, because they were intentional. You have the right priorities, because they do. The highest compliment we could ever give them, or you, is that we hope our kids grow up to be just like theirs. Just like you.
We love you both so much. We hope you love seeing your day through our lens as much as we loved capturing it. Most of all, we pray these images will always be there to remind you of your love for each other, and show future generations a piece of the story they’re so blessed to be part of.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, friends. His face is surely shining upon you.
