When we first met Melissa, our lives looked so different. We didn’t know we were about to be parents, but we knew we wanted her on our team. She is SO easy to be around, the best team player, and one of those people you feel like you’ve known for years the moment you meet her. She’s so kind, warm, smart and quietly hilarious. It’s no wonder she and Ryan are the perfect match. Meeting them as a pair sealed the deal for us. We were pretty sure we were going to be friends for life.
But none of us could’ve predicted back then, that all these years later, we’d move across the country together and get to share this wild Tennessee adventure side by side. Now we don’t just think of them as members of the team, but members of the family. So many of our sweetest memories over the past few years have been right next to Melissa and Ryan, think Christmas dinners, Easter eggs hunts in our backyard, picnics, live bluegrass music and simple everyday dinners that look chaotic but feel so life-giving.
We’ve had the privilege of watching her and Ryan build a beautiful life, and feel so honored we’ve gotten to be there for all their milestone moments along the way. From their engagement to their wedding, to expecting their first son, watching them walk into parenthood with so much intention and love, faithfully walking one step at a time, and now welcoming their precious daughter, it’s been such a gift to get to have a front row seat to their growth (in every way).
This was the first time we got to meet Sweet Marlowe, and we just fell in love with her instantly. It’s so easy to forget how precious and tiny and squishy newborns are, and we could’ve just snuggled her all day long! It’s SO fun to see Jack as a big brother, and even sweeter to see them as an official family of four. We couldn’t help share a few of our favorites from our time together.
