We are so excited to share this beautiful sunrise Central Park engagement session in New York City with you today!
This was our third time shooting an engagement in Central Park, but it was our first time shooting there at sunrise, and WOW what a different experience! The last time we were in Central Park, we were there in the middle of the afternoon on a busy Saturday in June, right after the city had reopened, and it was PACKED. There were people EVERYWHERE and we had to pull out every trick in our book to make it look like we had the place to ourselves. You can check out that engagement session here. And if you’re a photographer who ever finds yourself shooting in a crowded place, you’re invited to come On Location with us, where you can virtually shadow the entire session as we coach you through all the decisions, techniques and strategies we use to navigate shooting in a crowded, popular place packed with people.
The amazing thing about this engagement session is we didn’t have to work hard to make it look like we had the place to ourselves because we ACTUALLY DID! There wasn’t a single person around and it was SO fun to feel like we had rented Central Park all to ourselves. We could shoot wherever we wanted, and we even got some beautiful sunrise glow! It was basically a photographer dream session, especially with a couple like Alexandra and Sean!
We’ll never forget Zooming with Alexandra and Sean about their wedding when we were still living in Arizona. They are two of the sweetest, kindest people and so in love with each other. We got off that call so excited for the opportunity to get to capture their love and their beautiful New York wedding. This engagement session was our fist time meeting in person, and it was only 48 hours before their big day! We are so thankful they were willing to wake up before the sun to make this session happen, and we had the best time with these two. They were up for anything, including essentially climbing into the one blossomed tree we found (thanks to the sweet New York photographers of Instagram who helped guide us to the right spot!) and those ended up being some of our favorite shots from the session. But with these two, it’s hard to choose a favorite!
Alex and Sean, thank you so much for choosing us to capture your love. We were so honored to get to be the ones to freeze this incredibly special time in your lives and we have so many favorites the hardest part was narrowing down! You two are the cutest and we loved every minute of our time with you!
