Ooh, friends! We are SO excited to share this gorgeous Nashville Engagement Session in Franklin, Tennessee with you today! If you’re new around here, welcome! We’ve been wedding photographers based in Scottsdale, Arizona for over a decade, but about eighteen months ago, we picked up our family and moved to Middle Tennessee. It’s been the best change for our family, and one of our favorite (of many) parts about living here has been experiencing seasons for the first time. Growing up in the desert, we just never got to experience the magic of fall leaves, crisp weather and the beauty of the colors changing all around us, so now that we’re living in a place with real fall, we (okay, mostly Amy) seriously *still* gasp almost every time we step outside.
We weren’t planning on shooting at all during this season because we’re in the middle of a maternity leave after welcoming our third baby, Ellie Rose, just eight weeks ago, but we were SO excited when Rachel and Bryan reached out about doing a destination engagement session here that we couldn’t help but take a small break from maternity leave to make it happen. They live in Chicago, and we’re shooting their destination wedding in Scottsdale at The Country Club at DC Ranch next year, so when they realized they could plan a last minute trip to Nashville during peak fall here in Tennessee, we couldn’t resist!
Even though we’ve been living here for over a year now, all of our weddings and engagements since moving here have been destinations for us, so while we’ve been shooting all over in other places like Charleston, Temecula, NYC, Vermont and Scottsdale, believe it or not, this was our first engagement session we’ve shot in Nashville since we became residents! We met up at the Natchez Trace Trail Bridge in Franklin, and loved every minute of it. Rachel and Bryan are so sweet, kind and go-with-the-flow and beautiful (inside and out!) that they made our job way too easy. Amy thought she was going to have to separate Jordan and Bryan as they had way too much fun connecting over growing up with a brood of brothers, quoting 90s movies and their love for a good steak. We all had the best time together and could’ve photographed this session over and over again. It made us SO excited for their wedding, and we’re so excited to share just a few of our many favorites with you today! Rachel and Bryan, thank you so much for choosing us to be your wedding photographers! We cannot wait to see you two again in Scottsdale next year!
