We are so excited to share this beautiful El Chorro wedding in Scottsdale, Arizona with you today. Why?
It was the way he looked at her. All day. When people were looking… and when they weren’t. The way he locked eyes with her during the ceremony. The way he kissed her shoulder during the toasts. The way his tears fell down his face when she came down the aisle. The way his lips quivered when he shook her dad’s hand in front of the altar. You see, Eric is the quiet type. Strong, serious, smart and (usually) stoic. Exactly what you’d expect from a veteran Air Force pilot. Precisely what you’d hope for in someone with the responsibility of carrying passengers safely in the skies from one place to another. But when it comes to Dani, that seriousness and stoicism melts into the most sincere sweetness. Because this pilot is wheels over wings for his bride. And it’s not hard to see why. Dani is a gem. A walking bubble of joy. She’s a smile… personified. To be in her presence is to know exactly where you are. You can’t miss it. Because she reflects light like the sun and radiates its warmth. That’s what made their husband and wife portraits in the glow of the Arizona sunset so special. It felt like such a beautiful manifestation of their love. A visual representation on the outside of what they were feeling on the inside. An example of what marriage is supposed to be: two people, better off, because they are now one. We were blessed to be witnesses to it and honored to capture it for them.
Dani and Eric, thank you for trusting us with documenting one of the most important days of your life. It was truly such a pleasure. We love you both so much and are so excited for your new adventure ahead. Marriage has been one of the greatest blessings of our life. Our hope and prayer is that it’ll be the same for you! Not sure when we’ll see you guys again… but if you ever happen to be flying over Nashville (en route to anywhere tropical) and need some super fun co-pilots –– we can be at the airport, bags packed, in an hour’s notice. Maybe less 😉
