Today, we are celebrating two important milestones. First, that Stephanie and Hayden’s wedding blog post is live! Second, that we were able to get it done before our baby is born. Haha! As many of you know, Amy shot this elegant winter Four Seasons Scottsdale wedding 35 weeks pregnant, which gave Jordan recurring nightmares about her going to labor as the bride was coming down the aisle. Thankfully, that didn’t happen. In fact, it was the opposite! Throughout the entire wedding day, Amy kept saying, “I feel like I have so much energy! This is great!” Then she would kick one foot out and snap her finger, as if to demonstrate just how much extra energy she had. If you’re a wedding photographer looking for tips on how to shoot a wedding day pregnant, we wrote a blog post just for you!
Wanna know the most important tip? Be blessed with the best, kindest, loving, supportive, caring, encouraging clients in the world. Because that’s what we had with Stephanie and Hayden. From the moment we told them we were pregnant, they couldn’t have been happier for us — and they, their family, and their friends couldn’t have been sweeter to Amy on the wedding day. From us to everyone who was there and helped make her day smoother and easier, THANK YOU. If we could hug you, we would! So here’s one big virtual Internet hug 🙂
Side Note: Stephanie and Hayden have one of the cutest dating stories, so if you haven’t had a chance to read about it and see their dreamy desert engagement photos, click here!
In all seriousness, this wedding was one of the biggest honors of our career, and we’re still so humbled just thinking about it. Stephanie and Hayden aren’t from Arizona. Their family isn’t from Arizona. Their friends aren’t from Arizona. They have no real ties to Arizona. They got married in Arizona so we could shoot their wedding. As wedding photographers, we can’t think of a higher privilege or greater responsibility than that. There was beauty in every detail, planned so thoughtfully by Stephanie and her family, led by the incredibly talented Kayla of Some Like it Classic, and the day so sweetly reflected the love Hayden and Stephanie have for each other. We feel so proud of this wedding, especially because Amy was so pregnant, and it turned out to be one of our favorites! Prepare for image overload because this is might one of the longest blog posts we’ve done!
Stephanie and Hayden, thank you for the trust you placed in us. Thank you for every kind word. You are world-class encouragers and truly know how to make people feel loved. You are both beautiful, outside and inside, and we hope you love seeing yourselves through our lens — and re-living your wedding day through our eyes. May God bless you both as you start this new chapter and enter this next season of life. From our experience, marriage is like a fine wine. It just keeps getting better with time.
We’re already looking forward to seeing you in a year for anniversary photos in the desert!
