One of the things we miss the most about teaching elementary school in next door classrooms is seeing the faces of our students. There was such a satisfying joy that came from seeing their faces light up when the concept they had been working on finally clicked. Getting to watch each student, day after day, and see firsthand the progress they made from the first day of school to the last was so rewarding. Now that we teach photography students online (with more than 14,000 online course students), we don’t get to see our students’ faces in person as much as we’d like, but when we do, it’s the sweetest treat! Heather is one of our AJ Trifecta students, which means she’s enrolled in all three of our courses, so when she reached out to schedule a desert anniversary session, we couldn’t wait to finally hug her in person!
Almost four years ago, Heather attended one of our free online photography classes. She was working so hard at her day job as an architectural designer, but after attending our class, she told us a spark was ignited that she couldn’t ignore. She quickly enrolled in all three of our courses and started hustling on nights and weekends to make her dream of becoming a full time photographer, her reality. Fast forward four years, and Heather’s about to make that dream come true! As of 2021, she’ll be a full-time photographer, and we couldn’t be more proud. When Heather and Joel flew from Pennsylvania to Arizona for their desert anniversary session, we finally got to see that spark in-person, and celebrate all of the hard work they’ve done over the last four years.
Heather and Joel, your joy is contagious! You two are a true example of supporting each other to chase after your dreams. We loved our time with you two so much and were so honored to capture such an exciting season in your marriage!
