Ever since welcoming our sweet baby Beckett earlier this year, maternity sessions have held a new spot in our hearts. There’s nothing like celebrating such a special season that goes by entirely too fast! After being married for eight years, we were so used to life being just the two of us together. Our goal in life has always been to maximize our time together while we’re on this earth, and we really wanted to savor the end of the season of just being Amy and Jordan, before moving into a whole new season of the unknown, welcoming our first baby. What we didn’t know is that welcoming Beckett would bring us a greater joy and love for each other and unlock a new place in our hearts for him so immediately and powerfully that it’s unlike anything else we’ve ever experienced. Now that we’re parents ourselves, we love meeting new parents-to-be. Because we can so clearly remember what it’s like to be in their shoes. To feel that overwhelming excitement mixed with fear of how life will change. And we love sharing with them that even though life won’t be like it was before, it will be better than they ever imagined.
We felt so honored to capture this season for Ellie and Greg as they prepare to meet their sweet baby boy later this fall! Their first son! Walter! Although you’d never know it by looking at them, this maternity session was H-O-T (triple digits!) and with Ellie in her third trimester (and Greg in a blazer!) they were both such troopers in the heat. We just loved that they were up for anything, even getting in the water for a few shots! Spending time with these two, it’s so clear this little boy is going to be welcomed with so much love.
