Not gonna lie, friends, we’re a little embarrassed that this post hasn’t gone up already! But we’re hoping you (and the May workshop attendees) will forgive us, because we just wrapped up the CRAZIEST month of our entire career — and we’re crazy — but this was at a whole new level.
In the month of May alone, we spent a week in Georgia speaking at the Connect Marriage Retreat (including an engagement and anniversary session while we we there!); we came home for a week for four engagement sessions, two coaching sessions, a webinar for thousands of people and the launch of our Engagement Session Style Guide; then we jumped back on a plane to Nashville for a week at Gray Summit, a business retreat hosted by our dear friends and mentors, Zach and Jody Gray; we got home on Thursday and shot our first triple-header that weekend in 100-plus degree weather (and drank LOTS of Powerade Zero); then last week we spent a) recovering and b) in Denver for the Air Force Academy graduation; and today we’re off to Europe to shoot a vow renewal in Italy — and then to vacation for a few weeks!
If you didn’t get to hang with us during May, we’re sorry we missed you! Follow us on Snapchat to keep up with all the moments in-between the moments that we don’t post on the blog, Facebook, Instagram or anywhere else! It’s a lot of fun!
Phew. We’re tired all over again just thinking about the past 30 days! But we’re excited to share two more amazing weddings this week and introduce you to the May AJ Workshop attendees and finally share with you the highlights from our time together.
But, before we do that, we have some exciting (for some) and not-so-exciting news for others… we announced a July 2016 workshop to our priority access email list a few weeks ago and ALL 16 SEATS SOLD OUT! Before we could ever put it on the internet! We’re so excited for our fourth workshop of this year and tenth in the past 18 months! We haven’t yet decided if we’ll host any more workshops this year, but if you’re signed up here, you’ll be the very first to know when we do! We’d love to have you visit us in Arizona for a business and life-changing two day experience in the future, so make sure you’re on the list, because the last two have sold out before we can even make a blog announcement!
So, without further ado, from all across America, here’s the ninth graduating class and newest alumni of the AJ Workshop.

Jordan started Day 1 casting spells on the attendees. One was so mesmerized that she stood up… and stared right at his spell-casting hand.
Jordan thinks so much of his teaching abilities, that he drops invisible mics. Like they’re hot.
The hard thing about being outnumbered 17-to-1 is that sometimes the girls gang up on Jordan… and start casting spells on him.
Does this remind anyone else of The Sanderson Sisters trying to suck the life out of all the children in Salem?
Like Max and the burning rain of death, Jordan needed a diversion.
Then, he tried to convince everyone that this wasn’t creepy.
And started to dancing to create another diversion.
Even Amy couldn’t help but laugh — or believe he twisted that way. He must’ve been under Winnie’s spell and on the way to being a cat.
Because those eyes certainly indicate that he’s demon-possessed.
Getting creepier…
Starting to scare his own wife…
Until the girls reversed the evil spell…
And Jordan cried! Because he was himself again!
Or was he.
He was! And they lived happily ever after!
Official quote: “You guys, I was like this close to being a cat.”
Photographers. Not witches.
Amy, teaching details before the styled shoot. To everyone. Except the one. Who fell asleep standing up.
“I’m just happy my husband isn’t turning in to a cat!”
After Jordan was cured and everyone had some time to practice the photography they’d learned on Day 1, we took everyone out to the desert for more styled shoot!
Jordan used a magical shield of protection… just in case.
By the end of the day, Jordan had all the girls under his spell again.
They even moved when he held up his magic wand.
And then went right back into position when he put it away.
By Day 2, Jordan was tired. So he let Amy do most of the talking.
But he wasn’t too tired to look like he’d bit in to a lemon and got a rock in his left eye at the same time.
As if he hadn’t proved his magical wizard powers enough, Jordan even shrunk one of the attendees and turned her into a little girl.
Just kidding. one of our AJ Workshop superstar alumni, Ryan (and her daughter), stopped by to say hello!
Then it was time for head shots.
And Demos Sandwiches. Because those are mandatory at the workshop.
We love this group and are going to miss them tons — but we know great things are on the horizon for them!
Remember, our May AND July 2016 workshops sold out before we could even announce them online! If you want to be notified as soon as the next dates are announced, sign up here and we’ll add you to our priority access list for the next one, and send you some helpful photography and business tips and tricks in the meantime to get you started.
