All the little decisions a bride makes for her day that reflect her style and collectively bring her vision to life. Since our brides are investing their time and resources into each and every detail, we want to make sure to create beautiful photographs to preserve them long past the wedding day.

[ezcol_1half]Today, we want to share one quick tip with you that has helped bring our bridal detail shots to the next level. It takes a little bit of planning in advance, but it’s always so worth the result.One of our favorite details to photograph are the invitations. The invitation sets the tone for the entire wedding day, and usually a lot of time, money and energy goes into creating them. Since they lay completely flat, we’ve found a shot of the invitation suite by itself lacks dimension and depth, which is why we love incorporating fresh florals whenever we can into those photographs. In order to get the fresh florals in time, however, we have to remember to communicate in advance![/ezcol_1half][ezcol_1half_end]The bouquets typically arrive in the getting ready suite just before we start shooting details, but we would never pull flowers out of the actual bouquets because we would never risk ruining the design. So we just started kindly asking in advance through email if the florist could send just a few extra loose flowers at the same time as the personal bouquets so we could use the loose extras for detail shots. They are always so sweet and gracious about it, and then we’re able to give them even more images that showcase their gorgeous florals and give our brides detail images full of depth and dimension.
