Contagious joyfulness. There aren’t two better words (in a better order) to describe these two. Chian and Denton are from a small town in Montana where they run a small business together. When we asked them to define small, they said, “The closest Wal-Mart is 100 miles away. The closest Costco is 300 miles.” Whoa. They weren’t kidding. Small means small. But you know the thing we love about people from small towns? They have huge hearts. Warm personalities. And big, genuine smiles. THAT was Chian and Denton.
These two are also online course students! Along with running their small business, they’re learning and growing their photography dream on the side, and it was just so special to get to meet them in person! Their passion for life and each other was inspiring.
The first eight years of their marriage haven’t been smooth-sailing. Life’s thrown its fair share of obstacles their way. They’ve had to live out the “in sickness and in health” part much younger than most married couples ever will. But they’ve persevered. Together. And, just like a diamond that’s gone through fire and come out more beautiful than ever on the other side, their relationship has, too. And, just like that diamond, their love is more multi-faceted and extra-dimensional than it ever would’ve been (or could’ve been) without the heat and pressure of some of life’s hardest, yet most defining, moments. That’s what made our time with them extra special, knowing the history of eight hard-fought years, and seeing the fruit on the other side.
Chian and Denton, you are both beautiful people inside and out. Your zest for each other is one of the best advertisements for marriage we’ve ever seen. Never stop being those people. Never let that go. It’s contagious, and infectious, and exactly what this world needs more of right now. It was an absolute honor to freeze these moments in time for you. We had a blast together and hope you love the way your love looks on camera as much as we do. God bless you both.
