When I think of my “office” I don’t think of a place. I think of her.
Because our marriage is my most important project and the thing I’m proudest of in this world.
Since we were high school sweethearts, our goal’s been the same: to maximize the amount of time we spend together on this earth. To bear witness to each other’s life.
A few years ago, our offices were next-door elementary school classrooms. We were Mr. and Mrs. Demos, the fourth and fifth grade teachers. We carpooled to school together. We covered recess together. We went on field trips together. And while we watched the full-time photographers live their lives out loud and online, we sat behind our desks, ate soggy sandwiches, graded math tests, and doubted if there really was room for two more wedding photographers in Phoenix.
We doubted. Then, we dreamed. Of making the leap. Of going full-time. Of chasing a dream… and catching it. And, two years later, in so many ways, we have.
But despite everything we’ve done in this industry and anything we will, there isn’t a day that goes by when I’m not thankful to God for making my office a passion instead of a place and making my project a person instead of a photograph, because for as much as I love what we do for a living, I’m most blessed because of who I get to love for the rest of my life, and as long as I do that right, no matter what happens in our photography business day to day, regardless of the ups and downs, I get to win at the most important business of my life: loving her.
And loving you is easy, Amy Demos, because, like we said when we were seventeen, love is really just friendship set on fire.

We love stories. Every couple has one. One of our favorite parts about being wedding photographers is meeting with newly engaged couples for the first time and hearing theirs. The newness of it. The freshness of it. The excitement of it. We can’t get enough of it! But, at the end, our couples always ask, “What about you?” So, we decided to share our story, too. From the high school bleachers to the end of the aisle, here’s our story from “I noticed you” to “I do.”
