What are the three B’s of a wedding day? The bridal party, the bouquets and boutonnieres. All three B’s are decisions you pour months into making, and we believe you deserve lots of photos of all three! Here are a few things to consider when it comes to planning time for photos of your three B’s:
One of the great benefits of creating a timeline with a first look is the enhanced experience for the people you love the most, your bridal party.
Your bridesmaids and groomsmen are the people who would do just about anything for you when it comes to your wedding. They spend a lot of time, money and energy to make sure they’re there to stand beside you and support you on your wedding day. They’ve gone to dress fittings, thrown bridal showers, rehearsed aisle walking, got dolled up and worn shoes that make their feet ache, and right after the ceremony, when they are tired, hungry, hot, and just plain exhausted, there is no sweeter sound to their ears than the photographer saying, “You guys are done! Go party!”
Traditionally, bridal party photos take place immediately following the ceremony during cocktail hour. While guests mingle and enjoy appetizers and drinks, the bridal party is traditionally held captive for photos. With a first look timeline, we are able to change all that and get all of your bridal party pictures done before the ceremony, when their makeup is fresh, their bellies are full, their feet don’t hurt, and they are still excited to watch you say, “I do.” You get every photo you want with the people you love the most when they are at their best and they actually get to enjoy the great party you spent months planning! It’s a win-win for everybody involved, which is one of the reasons most of our couples opt for this timeline.
When you plan your timeline this way, it’s important to let your wedding planner and florist know that you’ll need your bouquets and boutonnieres to arrive on property in time for your photos.
In the Arizona desert, it’s best to find a cool place inside to store your flowers in water until it’s time for photos, so that the flowers look as fresh and as beautiful as you planned when you first chose them.
We know how much thought goes into the three B’s, and that’s why you deserve great images of all three!
