I’m still wrapping my head around it but… we’re moving… to NASHVILLE, YA’LL!!
It’s surreal to see it in writing, but we feel SO confident this is the adventure God has for us!
2020 was the year (to borrow a line from Hamilton) when the world turned upside down. It caused us to reflect, draw nearer to each other and nearer to Him like never before. To ask ourselves questions about our future and where God is leading us.
We love the desert with our whole heart (and always will) but as new parents, our conversations have been shifting from what’s been best for *us* to what might be best for *them.*
We started dreaming of a place where we could throw open our doors and let our kids go free. A place where they could explore, adventure and create imaginary worlds with nothing more than mud, rocks and sticks. A place with four seasons, trees to climb and room to roam.
Ever since we got married, when we visited family and friends back east, we romanticized about living in the South. A place where good manners are expected, kindness is as common as cornbread and a slower, peaceful pace is a way of life.
It’s still sinking in that we’re actually moving. In some ways, we feel READY for Tennessee. It feels familiar and wonderful. I mean, it’s the Land of Ramsey –– and you *know* how we feel about DAVE.
We have family there, and in one of God’s biggest plot twists, we have family *coming with us!* Caelen’s husband, Austin, GOT HIRED BY DAVE RAMSEY! I repeat, our brother-in-law is going to work for Dave-freaking-Ramsey!! This is not a drill!! #davefangirlsforlife
A trusted mentor reminded us that God uses movement to grow us. We have already seen so much fruit come from this move, and we haven’t even moved yet. We’re heading out for good later this spring, so until then we’re going to soak up all the sunshine and people we love most while they’re still only minutes away. (Then it’s probably time to invest in an umbrella 
) There are so many unknowns, but we’re so excited to do something big (and a little scary!) and take on this brand new adventure together!
