Happy Tuesday, friends! We’re so excited to finally be able to share Megan and Joe’s romantic Paris engagement session with you!
(We took a few days off after the proposal to adventure through some of France and Germany’s most famous storybook towns. So if you’re planning a trip to Europe any time soon — or you just wanna see the place that inspired Belle’s hometown in Beauty in the Beast — definitely check it out!)
Since Megan didn’t know that Joe was going to surprise her by proposing in Paris, she got a second surprise that morning: she needed outfits for their engagement session the next day. What’s a girl to do? Not to worry! Because Joe had a plan… and so did we. They’d go shopping. On Champs-Élysées. The Fifth Avenue of Paris. WHAT. A. STUD. Joe, the single women of the Internet are involved in an active manhunt for your long-lost twin. So, we texted Megan a copy of our Engagement Session Style Guide, and between lunch and their pre-planned tour of the Louvre, which was LESS THAN ONE HOUR in total time, she found two outfits that are, in a word (or hashtag), #stylegoals.
The morning after the proposal, we set out to see if we could complete our ambitious Paris checklist. Major monuments. Check! Cute side streets. Check! Picnics, carousels and coffee in a cafe. Check, check, check! ROOFTOP GARDEN. Total bonus. It even sprinkled just enough that we got to use the cutest clear plastic umbrellas that Megan and Joe bought from a local shop.
It was a dream come true for us… because of you
So, from the bottom of our heart, thank you for giving us the pleasure of bearing witness to that; and the privilege of documenting it for you, your family and friends, and generations to come. Because even though the City of Light has seen a lot of love. It’s never seen one quite like yours — and it never will again. That is, of course, unless we make this a regular thing. We love you both to Paris and back, and we hope you love these pictures as much as we loved taking them. We are so excited for your hometown wedding next summer! Until then, aurevoir.
Did you see Megan and Joe’s surprise proposal in front of the Eiffel? Catch up here!
Wondering how to shoot in a crowded city? We’re sharing our tricks for that here!

How much time did this session take?
Is there anywhere we can go to learn how to expose for the background—did you do that for the eiffel tower shots?
Great work. SO beautiful!
