You guys. The desert has been in rare form this month. Showing off, really. Strutting around like a proud peacock whose feathers have never been fuller. Seriously, we’ve lived here (almost) our entire life, and we’ve never — ever — seen it this green. Or lush. Or overgrown. And it’s fantastic. We know that the summer sun will scorch what the winter rains produced in just a short matter of weeks, so we’re savoring it and smoking it up soaking it up while we can. Auto correct changed “soaking it up” to “smoking it up,” but it made us laugh out loud, so we included it. Hopefully it made anyone else who’s had to battle auto-correct chuckle, too. Your smiles are so bright and contagious
[ezcol_1half]Now, to the stars of the show (and rightfully so) Brianna and Kevin. We met them for coffee one morning on our way to church, and instantly fell in love with their warm smiles and fun personalities. Brianna’s a labor and delivery nurse and Kevin’s in mortgage banking. So, dear readers, if you’re in the same life stage as 99% of our friends right now (houses and babies), these two are your ticket! Jordan also played youth soccer in the same club as Kevin,[/ezcol_1half][ezcol_1half_end] so they had a good time swapping war stories from “the good old days.” Just ask them. Haha! Brianna and Kevin, the only thing more beautiful than the desert was you two in it. Your smiles are so bright and contagious that even our cheeks were sore and twitching afterward — which is quite a feat, given that our smiles are trained for this! Each frame got us more and more excited for your wedding next spring at DC Ranch Country Club.[/ezcol_1half_end]
Also, we couldn’t have been more surprised (or grateful) when you surprised us with a housewarming gift at the end of our time together. That was so, so thoughtful. Thank you. It was our very first housewarming gift since we’ve shared that we’re moving into our forever home next month, and it meant so much to us! We hope that you love your engagement photos as much as we loved taking them. From two people who’ve been there and know how fast it goes, cherish the next year together. Do everything you can to slow it down. You’ll get to be married for a lifetime. You’ll only get to be fiancees for a short while, and then it’s gone. We’re honored to be the ones to capture it for you. We have SO many new favorites from our time together!
