If we could sum up this weekend’s wedding in just a few words, it’d be these: bright, bold, modern colors infused with a quiet, strong, steady love. That’s Heidi and Bryan. That’s who they are. That’s who they’ve always been. From the night she rounded the corner wearing a dress and a smile that he’ll never forget, to the moment she walked down the aisle doing the same, he’s loved her. He’s always loved her. He’s always just… known.
They grew up in the same small town. Rural Indiana. They went to high school together and even rode in the same limo to the senior prom. Then, they went their separate ways, to separate states, and reunited years later after a simple twist of fate. A gathering. A get-together. Old friends who hadn’t seen each other for a long time. Love hadn’t dealt either of them a perfect hand since they’d left that small town. But it had one more card it hadn’t yet played: her dress and that smile. Neither expected to find a second chance that night, but it sure found them.
Heidi and Bryan’s wedding day was the perfect celebration of two people who just belong together and who aren’t afraid to live their love and their life in full, vibrant color. Heidi is a crazy talented stationer in the wedding industry herself, so we knew her paper products were going to be incredible, but what we didn’t realize is how each and every element of their day would be so THEM. From the bold floral arrangements to the light-up tambourines. The table full of cotton candy, the geometric cake and the perfect heart-shaped escort card display that had Heidi’s signature style written all over rit. And, of course, the feature that ultimately took our breath away: over two thousand ribbons hung and hand-tied from the ceiling with a real, fresh flower tied to the end of every single one. Over 6,000 feet of ribbon in all. The entire day was pure magic. And we loved every minute of it.
Heidi and Bryan, it’d be over-simplistic to look at your decor as just a style preference. Or view the details as simply something edgy or new. That would only tell part of the story. Because the people who know you know that they’re more than just tangible, design choices. They’re emotional ones, too. They’re stakes in the ground and flags in the air that declare to everyone who’s close to giving up on love to look up, then look around, because life’s next best adventure might be wearing bright, bold colors, and be just around the corner.
