Good things come to those who wait. Sometimes, you even get two.
Elisa and Mike are dear, sweet friends of ours from Scottsdale. The year we went full-time in our business, she helped us plan some of our first styled shoots: a Kentucky Derby-inspired one-year-old’s birthday party, a surprise breakfast-in-bed proposal, a sparkling bridal shower, and, believe it or not, a dog-themed yoga party (called “doga”). They were some of our first features (ever) on national inspiration blogs and we were (and are still) so grateful to Elisa for hustling with us to pull these off (some in her living room!) and to Mike for letting us invade his house on more than one occasion — and for modeling for a mock wedding shoot we did not too long ago, too! And if that’s not enough, Elisa actually planned one of our favorite surprise proposals and most popular blog posts ever!

So, yeah, these two have been with us since the start of this crazy full-time adventure. They’ve played a behind-the-scenes role and out-front part in half a dozen blog posts we’ve published in the past few years — but this one is the most special. To us. To them. Because, simply said, God answers prayers. And when you ask for one, expect none, and end up with two, there’s no other explanation than that. Mike and Elisa, you have two of the kindest hearts and gentlest souls in the whole wide world — which is saying a lot, because it’s a big, big place. But it’s true. We’re blessed to call you friends, but even more excited to call you parents. May every child on the planet know the kind of love you’ve already shown your two little girls — and let these images be a constant and consistent reminder to them of how much you love each other.
