He stole her phone. The first time they met. Took it without her knowing. He had eyes for her from the moment he saw her, and he wanted to make sure she didn’t forget him, that she couldn’t forget him. So, as soon as he had her phone in his hands, he added his contact information:

“Cute Tall Guy,” he typed into the name field.

Then he put the phone back. She never knew.

Until a few days later, when he called, and “Cute Tall Guy” appeared on her screen. She knew right away that it was him. She remembered that cute tall guy from a few nights before. How could she forget? She had her eyes on him, too.

Amy and Dan’s wedding was one of the happiest and most emotional we’ve ever seen. It was like being in the middle of an episode of Parenthood the entire time. One minute, we wanted to smile and laugh. The next, we wanted to cry… like babies. The backyard at Amy’s parents house reminded us of the Braverman’s, too. The eclecticism. The idiosyncrasies. Both of which made it cozy and warm. As well as the people. Oh, the people. They brought the place to life as much as the lights. They were those kind of people. The kind that know how to love as strongly as they party.

Amy and Dan, thank you for welcoming us into your life so that we could capture your special love and experience the love of everyone who loves you. It was magical. Every bit of it. Here’s a little sneak peek of your wedding day, Amy, to the man who went from “Cute Tall Guy” to “Cute Tall Husband.”

We LOVED all of Amy’s details, especially the peacock feathers she wore with her birdcage veil!

The guestbook was SO cute, too! It had individual leaves for each guest to sign!

Succulents? In Arizona? Yes, please! Every time!

How cute is the look on her face the first time she saw her groom?!

They were so genuinely happy together ALL DAY!

But Amy knew how to work it for the camera when she needed to!

Most of decor was all DIY, and Amy did a fabulous job bringing it all together.

As the sun set behind the trees, their backyard ceremony began. We LOVE the look on Dan’s face when Amy’s coming down the aisle!

That’s Amy’s best friend to the left. We love this shot because even though Amy and her dad are locked on the groom and the altar, this memory of how much her best friend loves her — and loved her in that moment — is preserved forever.

These two were SO MUCH FUN during their vows! The made everyone laugh — including themselves!

Cupcake dress + heels + those legs = WOWZA!

The ceremony was full of so many sweet moments and tons of laughter.

What a smokin’ first kiss as husband and wife!

Amy’s dad owns this classic GMC truck that he parked in the front yard and it just so happened to be Amy and Dan’s wedding colors (and our favorite colors too!) SWOON!

Amy made all the reception details, too, and they went perfectly with the vibe of the day!

Everyone knows we have over-active sweet teeth, and this dessert set-up just about did us in! Every kind of cupcake you could imagine, from cobbler to s’mores!  Amy sent us home with our own personal doggie bag of cupcakes, which are already long gone! 

Amy and Dan did their first dance in her dad’s classic car garage, which was SO cool!

Dan serenaded Amy, too! So romantic! It was the perfect end to a perfect day!
