One of our favorite things to do with our new couples is meet them over coffee, get to know them and learn all about their story. Cozy around a table with warm drinks and good conversation. About half the time, though, grabbing coffee just isn’t possible because a lot of our couples don’t live in Arizona! So many of our couples live outside the state and are planning a destination wedding here, which means we have to get a little creative! In that case, we swap a coffee meeting for a Skype date, and even though we don’t get to cozy up around a table together, it can actually be really fun. Couch to couch, things get extra comfortable extra fast. Case in point, William Wallace (our cat) tends to crash our Skype meetings, and THAT is something you definitely can’t get at a coffee shop.
Jen and Brad live in Texas, so it wasn’t long before we were couch to couch (thanks to technology) getting to know these two cuties. We chatted about their vision for their wedding day, and hit it off right away. Jen and Brad got engaged over Christmas and are planning a spring wedding here, so we were all crossing our fingers that we’d be able to find a time to sneak their engagement session in! Luckily, they were able to come in town over this past holiday weekend, so even though they had to endure our triple digit summer temperatures, they were such good sports about! You’d never even be able to tell!
Jen grew up at Paradise Valley Country Club and Brad loves to golf, so this location couldn’t have been more perfect for them. We loved carting around the property with them and showing off all the beauty of the desert, especially Camelback Mountain. But with Jen’s fabulous dress and the way these two love each other, who is really paying attention to the background anyway?
Jen and Brad, thanks so much for being up for anything. For chasing the golden light with us, and bringing so much kindness and warmth with you. We had so much fun with you both.
