Happy Friday, friends!
If you’re new to Friday Fun, click here to read the first one before you get started! And if you’re already familiar with Friday Fun, welcome back! Here’s a recap of some of our favorite moments from the week: the small little things that may or may not matter, but nonetheless colored and flavored our week:
— We met with our accountant this week for our annual tax meeting, and when we walked into his office, he had the gentle sounds of Yanni’s piano playing peacefully in the background. He told us this is his best strategy for keeping his clients’ blood pressure down when delivering news like, “You owe thousands in taxes.” Which made us think maybe we should employ the same strategy in marriage when delivering harsh news like, “We’re out of ice cream.”
— (We’re not actually out of ice cream)
— Our favorite snack (lately and always) is popcorn. Specifically, for our fellow Costco-lovers out there, the big red bag of Popcornopolis’s Nearly Naked Popcorn (made with coconut oil) that’s larger than most toddlers.
— Subsequently, William Wallace‘s favorite snack is ALSO popcorn. For real, you guys. Our cat. Eats popcorn. He gets just as excited about it as we do. He sits RIGHT next to us while we eat it, and patiently waits for us to break one piece into ten little microscopic pieces for him, and then he devours them. Nothing brings him more joy.
— Mr. Carson could not care less about popcorn.
— We had a coffee date client meeting with our newest AJ Bride (and her awesome guy!) on Monday. And Amy just finished the venti latte she ordered that night yesterday. All she needs is a fridge and a microwave, and she’s the happiest girl on earth.
— Every day, more news of The Gilmore Girls revival is getting released and confirmed, and, you guys, we can hardly contain ourselves. Our sister has been sending us updates, and last night, she sent us this photo from Twitter of Paris and Doyle. Together! On set! #gilmoregirlsrevival is our new favorite hashtag to stalk on Instagram. This is getting real, ya’ll. And saying “ya’ll” is starting to become a thing around here.
— Our church neighborhood group (which is like a small group) started up again this week, after the winter break hiatus, and it felt so good to be back. Getting in community and getting into God’s word together helps us keep a big picture perspective in the day-to-day hustle, and we feel so thankful for that. We’re going to have to miss it next week, though, but that’s because…
— WE’RE GOING ON VACATION!! A real vacation! And there might be mouse ears involved. Eek! That’s all we’re going to say for now!!
And there you have it! This week’s Friday Fun! Class dismissed. Have a great weekend, friends!
