If there’s one thing we couldn’t be more thankful for in our life, it’s our incredible group of AJ Brides (and AJ Guys!). Last December, we all got together for the first time ever, and it was literally one of the happiest days of our life! For real. It felt like our wedding day. Seeing so many faces we love in one place was overwhelming, humbling, and so insanely fun! We knew from that day on, we would HAVE to end every year with a party just like that one. The thing is, though, twelve months is a really long time to wait, isn’t it?! So when one of our brides suggested a little summertime meet-up, we couldn’t say yes fast enough!
It’s no secret our schedule has been a little wild this year, so finding a weekend date where we were in town and not shooting a wedding proved to be a little tougher than we expected, but there was really nothing that could keep us from making this little get-together happen! We plotted with the girls and quickly discovered that summer is a really hard time for everyone’s schedule! So many of our couples were out of town on almost every weekend we had open, so we eventually just had to pick one and go with it! And. it. was. a. blast. We were so thankful to Morgan & Ryan for hosting us!
We had so much fun welcoming some new faces since our last party, and catching up with our awesome veteran couples, too. (We think we might need a new hashtag for the vet brides called #ajbride #ajveteran!) We all indulged in delicious food and drink. One of our sweet brides even homemade cookie butter cookies! Let us say that AGAIN. COOKIE BUTTER COOKIES. We laughed until our faces hurt playing our favorite party game, Fishbowl, too! Have you played? Maybe we should blog the rules… We can’t get enough of these guys, and left that night feeling like two of the luckiest people in the world. It was the perfect Saturday and, course, you know we can never resist snapping a few photos, so you’ll see a few of our favorites below!
To everyone who was there, thank you for such an amazing day! We loved every minute of it. In fact, we’re hoping to write a new Marshall Plan at Costco and maybe go snow sliming with Beyonce. Haha! To all of our couples who couldn’t make it, that sentence will make more sense in December 😉 We can’t wait to reunite at this year’s Christmas party and we’re putting a date on the calendar soon! Kathleen, if you’re reading this, email us and let’s set. it. up! Until then here’s a few of our summertime faves!
