When we met Kaitlen and Christian for the first time as a couple just a few months ago, there was an instant connection. We liked them right from the start. They’re kind, sweet people with incredible senses of humor and obvious love for each other. We saw a lot of ourselves in them. Kaitlen explained her vision for an intimate backyard wedding at a private residence, the home of a close family friend. She’d fallen in love with the custom design and detailed architecture of the space, from the staircase and the stonework to the wooden, palatial doors, and after arriving and seeing it ourselves, we couldn’t’ve agreed more. It was beautiful. Kaitlen and Christian, even though we only got to spend a few hours with you on your wedding day, thank you for welcoming us into your life and sharing your love for each other with us. Here’s a little sneak peek of our short but meaningful time together…
We loved Kaitlen’s ring when we saw it a few months ago, so we couldn’t wait to photograph it on her wedding day!
Kaitlen’s bridesmaids crafted their own bouquets (right) and chose their own dresses, and we think they did such a beautiful job bringing it all together.
Kaitlen’s bouquet was designed by none other than our talented friends at Table Tops Etc. and we almost died of pure prettiness when we saw it!
Kaitlen… You are STUNNING, girl!
Their first look was so sweet! Kaitlen and Christian lit up the second they saw each other.
Kaitlen’s favorite features of the home are the custom-designed wooden doors, so we made sure to start portraits in front of some of them!
Their ceremony was so intimate and absolutely beautiful. The look on Kaitlen’s parents’ faces says it all.
After the ceremony, we headed to The Farm at South Mountain, which holds a special place in their hearts because it’s where Christian proposed to Kaitlen. We were able to sneak in a few husband and wife portraits during the final glints of the golden hour’s magical light, and loved every second of it. Gah! This light!
Could these two be any more breathtaking?! It was such a special day.
