We love to eat, especially dessert. We’ve had sweet teeth from childhood. It’s so bad that our friends stopped giving us birthday gifts this year and started just bringing us half gallons of birthday ice cream with bows attached. This sick part? We LOVE it! So, when Sweet Maison, a boutique bakery in town, contacted us to photograph their delicious desserts and then eat some of the leftovers, we thought we’d died and gone to sugar heaven! Photography and dessert at the same time? Yes, please! Sign. Us. Up.
Plus, the ingredients are local, natural, unprocessed, beautifully crafted, and baked with love by Sue Ross, founding pastry chef, and our new favorite person on Planet Earth, because she fed us while we were working. Internet, if you know ANYONE who owns a bakery, send them to us. We promise to eat everything we photograph. Pinky swear.
Sweet Maison, we never knew dessert could look as good as it tastes, or that it could be as sweet as the people who created it, but you changed our misconception of both for good. We hope everyone who reads this heads straight to your brand new website, places an order, and experiences the goodness for themselves.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering, Internet, we recommend the caramels. Un-freaking-real!
