I had the pleasure of shooting Dana Metz’s rehearsal for her New York show, “A Look Inside,” and I am telling you, ya’ll better get your cute little butts to New York this summer because this is a show you will not want to miss. Dana is known throughout the dance community as one of the finest contemporary choreographers in the country…but she would never tell you that because she is also one of the most humble, down-to-earth talents I’ve ever encountered. Even as I was behind my lens trying to capture all the action, I let out several involuntary WOAHS! during this rehearsal. I dare you to watch her work and not get chills! She’s assembled an incredible team of talented, dynamic and just plain awesome dancers. They dance with the perfect combination of emotion, strength and passion, and they’re pretty dang hilarious too.
