As Dave’s dad stepped up to the microphone, the guests leaned in… and listened. He described a little boy who woke up every morning with a smile on his face, a cheerful force of light ready to take on the world. Fast forward a few years, and even though Dave has grown into a strong, successful man now, his warm heart hasn’t changed. His bright smile is still there. Both bigger and brighter than ever before because Whitney walked into his life… and completed it. Dave’s dad said that he’s never seen his son happier, which is saying a lot, because Dave is the happiest person he (and most people) have ever known, which tells you everything you need to know about his bride. Whitney is passionate and loyal, and the missing piece David was looking for to walk through life with.
But David didn’t just become a husband at the wedding. When he said, “I do,” he also became an instant father to Whitney’s beautiful daughter, Isabella. During toasts, there wasn’t a dry eye in the ballroom when family and friends described the special relationship between David and Isabella. Speaker after speaker affirmed what a good, kind, gentle, caring, compassionate, supportive and protective father figure David has been to her. He truly loves her (and has loved her this entire time) as his own. The wedding just made official what was already there. May all young ladies be so fortunate to have such a man in their life. It was so beautiful to see the three of them celebrate the start of not only a new marriage, but a new family.
Whitney and David, from the bottom of our heart, thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you on your wedding day and capture memories for you that you’ll treasure for a lifetime. It was a true honor and privilege. We are so happy for you and excited for what the future holds (hopefully some cute little babies!) Over the next fifty years, no matter the twists and turns, and regardless of what life throws your way, we hope you’ll always be able to look back on your wedding photos, be transported in time, and, just like that little boy so many years ago, smile with an overflowing joyfulness at the beautiful gifts you’ve each been given… in each other.
