It was a temporary job. For both of them. They were each just passing through. On their way to something bigger and better. Little did they know the best wasn’t actually yet to come. It was about to sit down next to each of them.
Out of thousands of employees, Jessica and Mike were assigned to sit in neighboring cubicles. From Day One, Jessica had a crush on Mike, but she thought he had a girlfriend and didn’t want to infringe, so she kept her thoughts to herself. Little did she know that not only did Mike not have a girlfriend… but he had a crush on her, too.
Their boss loved playing matchmaker — so when she caught wind of both of their feelings for each other, she helped Mike stage a fake conversation that Jessica couldn’t possibly NOT overhear. In that conversation, Jessica overheard Mike tell their boss that he’d just recently broken up with his girlfriend. He didn’t actually have a girlfriend, but his mission was accomplished: Jessica now knew that Mike was officially on. the. market.
Jessica didn’t waste a second. In moments, she was excitedly texting her girlfriends to let them know that the cute guy she had her eye on… was now available!
That night, she and her girlfriends “stalked” Mike on Facebook. Little did they know that he and his guy friends were looking at her profile at the exact same time!
Ding!
He sent her a friend request right as they were looking at his profile.
They’ve been inseparable ever since.

In just our short time together, it was so clear to us what you saw in each other back in those work days, and what you still see in other today: a warm, kind, caring, playful, easy-going partner.
