Happy Friday, friends!

If you’re new to Friday Fun, click here to read the first one before you get started! And if you’re already familiar with Friday Fun, welcome back! Here’s a recap of some of our favorite moments from the week: the small little things that may or may not matter, but nonetheless colored and flavored our week:

— Okay, you guys! We got sucked in! And watched all. ten. episodes of Making a Murderer on Netflix over our holiday break. From bed. We won’t spoil the end if you haven’t seen it yet, but we will say this: Lenk, you sit on a throne of lies!

— We spent most of this week in San Francisco, and are still here! We’ve done a little bit of work, eaten a lotta bit of food, and have been arguing over which place was more historical: Alcatraz or the Full House house. So we’re compromising. And going to both.

— Someone shared an article on Facebook about “Dad Bod.” Jordan now walks around the house shirtless treating his love handles like a six-pack. Like Mckayla, Amy’s not impressed.

— She did almost spit up her white mocha latte at our favorite brunch place on Sunday when the waiter asked if Jordan wanted a side of guacamole with his breakfast tacos. And he paused. Shot Amy and cheeky smile from across the table. And, without missing a beat, raised one eyebrow slightly higher than the other, pushed his pursed lips to one side of his mouth, and with the confidence only a man who believes in “Dad Bod” can, said, “Of course. Always.”

— Our cat, William Wallace, taught himself how to OPEN the closet door. And close it behind him. Here’s how we figured it out:

— One afternoon, Jordan closed the closet door, turned off the lights, walked out of our bedroom, and started working at the kitchen table. Both cats were with Amy on the couch. A few hours later, Jordan went back to the closet and opened the door. He slid some of the hangers on the low-hanging rack to the left. And got startled. When he looked down. And saw William Wallace was sleeping in a piles of clothes.

— We didn’t believe it at first. One of us MUST have left the closet door open, we reasoned. So, to test it, we gave William a cat treat, then ran into the closet, closed the door behind us, and proceeded to call his name and shake the bag of treats. Without fail, in less than a minute, he opened the door and looked up at us standing like crazies in the closet. We gave him a treat. And then realized we were two grown adults standing in our own closet holding a bag of cat treats. We’ve really arrived.

— We hired a handyman to do a few things around the house that Lorelei could probably do with her pink plastic hammer. The one with a sparkling bow on it. With some supervision from Luke, of course. But us? We’re not the handiest around the house

— Amy certainly can’t cook let alone FIX something — so Jordan called a professional, and when the handyman finished three jobs in less than thirty minutes that would’ve taken Jordan three hours (at least) and cost us some drywall, Jordan shut the door behind the man with the tool belt, looked at Amy and said, “I think a little bit of my manhood just died.” At least his hammer wasn’t pink.

— Paris in June. Three words we’ve been singing over and over and over again this week ever since our friends introduced us to JohnnySwim, a husband and wife duo who play the guitar and sing together and to each other. If you’re a Nashville fan, think real-life Scarlett and Gunnar, minus the breakups.

— We went to Australia for New Year’s Eve! Well, kind of. We really wanted to go to Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour when it rolled through Phoenix, but we waited too long (like four minutes) to get tickets. We would’ve given an arm or a leg, but no one was offering. Maybe we should’ve checked Craig’s List… Fortunately, it didn’t come to that. Apple Music made her entire Sydney stop of the tour available for FREE when you sign up for a free three-month subscription. So, yeah, we spent our first minutes of the New Year with Tay Tay.

And there you have it! This week’s Friday Fun! Class dismissed. Have a great weekend, friends! And here’s our fave from our time here in San Fran!
